After recording episode 7, Boys Who Do Boys, we realized that we left out a huge part of the slash discussion. And thus this little interview segment we’re calling mini episode 7.1: Girls Who Do Girls. AltheaJams got together with fngrcufs to talk the femme slash. Check it out…

...celebrating Twific by fanfic'ing it!
Ok, I’ve only read ONE femme slash EVER and it was disastrous, I can’t lie. Ever since then I’ve wanted to read something good. I’m totally going to read all these rec’s. Thank you!
Boy slash squicks me out, I just want pretty girls! LOL Is that so wrong??
Terrific interview! Really liked the observations on readers fears about what their choice of reading material “says” about them…it’s just people loving people, too bad we get hung up on stuff like that! <3
LOVE these recs and the darling Fngrcufs ;o) Mskathy writes amazing fic – another few of my favs of hers include Paper Moon which has both slash and femme slash and a great storyline, and Yes, Mistress which is slightly more hardcore and involves rose/bella. <3
*MWAH* I love you both for this podcast mini-sode! By the way fngrcuffs I will be writing more femmeslash if you’re going to be rec’ing it.
I FORKING LOVE YOU!
Femmeslash is way underepresented in the fandom, and it was very insightful of you to note that many people think it tarnishes their sexuality in some way. I’ve noticed that most of the women who are willing to admit they are fans of femmeslash are lesbian or bisexual themselves. I’ve never been afraid to admit I read or write femmeslash being a fairly open bisexual myself, but I can understand how a straight girl would be afraid to admit it. Although, from the number of hits I recieve on a monthly basis, I would wager to say that many people are actively searching it out.
